Ashanti Shequoiya Douglas popularly known as Ashanti was born on October 13, the 13th of October, 1980 at Glen Cove New York United States. Ashanti is an United States singer, songwriter, and actress. Ashanti was a teenager performer, songwriter and actress from the United States had her name signed by Murder Inc. Records to release her debut album in 2002. That same year she appeared in the Fat Joe's What's Luv? the song "What's love?" by Fat Joe and Ja Rule's song "Always on Time were both huge hits.
